The Petromat system extends the life of new asphalt concrete pavements and AC overlays. Amoco’s Petromat is made of non-woven polypropylene fabric which is field saturated with an asphalt cement tack coat. This then forms a barrier to water infiltration and absorbing stresses to reduce reflective and fatigue cracking of the new AC surface layer

Pavement repair membrane used for repair of localized pavement cracks and joints. The fabric dissipates stresses in the pavement, retards cracking, and reduces water infiltration. A tack coat is placed to bond the membrane to the pavement. The membrane is applied in strips over cracks and joints in Portland cement or bituminous pavements. The membrane is then overlaid with an asphalt concrete overlay using standard paving procedures.

Unique peel and stick paving fabric/rubberized asphalt composite membrane. Petrotac acts as a moisture barrier as well as a stress absorbing membrane interlayer.
